We are thrilled to announce that our festival production 'The Extraordinary Revelations of Orca the Goldfish' by David Tristram, came a very close runner up with just one point dividing us and the winning team from Woking.

Out of eleven entries, we thought it was a great result. Not only did we get the NDFA Council Trophy for runner up but also the John Scowen Award for Comedy and the Audience Appreciation award when all audience members who bought season tickets get to vote on their favourite production of the week. Thanks to all members and friends who supported us during this festival period.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of last year's autumn production, 'The Odd Couple - Female Version' by Neil Simon. We were nominated in the category of Best Drama in the NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) award ceremony.

We didn't win, but we were thrilled to be considered. Onward and upward!

AUDITIONS for 'REASONS TO BE HAPPY' by NEIL LABUTE

8.00pm 9th AUGUST 2017

CLAVERING VILLAGE HALL

“Three years after a contentious break-up, Steph and Greg are wondering if they can make a fresh go of it. Trouble is, she's married to someone else and he's just embarked on a relationship with Steph’s best friend, Carly, a single mom whose jealous ex-husband, Kent, has trouble articulating his feelings. Navigating the rocky landscape of conflicting agendas and exploding emotions isn’t going to be easy for any of them. 'Reasons to Be Happy', is a funny, surprising, and poignant new play about the choices and sacrifices we are willing to make in the pursuit of that often elusive ideal: happiness.”

MCC Theater - New York's “hottest Off-Broadway destination”

Steph: a tough, foul mouthed hairdresser who lives her life with passion, always going for broke.
Greg: a school teacher who lets “stuff happen” while figuring out what to say and how to do the right thing.
Carly: a supermarket supervisor and single mum who is centred, caring and disarmingly honest about herself and others.
Kent: a hot-headed supermarket employee whose main preoccupations are sex and sports but who is trying hard to grow up and control his temper.

Whether you are new to acting or have been acting for years why not come along and audition for our next play?

Please contact Judy Curry if you cannot make the audition or would like copies of the audition pieces in advance. judypcurry@yahoo.co.uk
